In the spirit of promoting youth soccer in Princeton and the surrounding area, Princeton Youth Soccer
League is hosting a 3-on-3 tournament on June 30th at First Baptist Church in Princeton. This is a chance for
our players to have fun, improve their skills, and introduces them to a higher level of soccer. In the past,
players who have participated in these types of tournaments have been better prepared for high school and college soccer.
Here are some basic details on the tournament:
- Each team will consist of a 5-6 player roster, grouped by age. Younger kids can play up, if need be.
- The field size is 40 yds x 30 yds, goals are 4’ x 6’ or smaller.
- There is no goalkeeper.
- Playing time consists of two 12-minutes halves, with a two minute half-time (total of 26 minutes).
- There is one referee.
- Out-of-bounds ball is put back in play by a kick-in instead of throw-in.
- There is no offside rule.
- If the ball is touched by a defending player in their own goal box, a point will be awarded to the attacking team.
- Each team will be play three games throughout the day (depending on number of teams in bracket).
- Cost is $180 per team ($30 per player for roster of 6 - covers insurance, referees, and complimentary t-shirt).
